This castle overlook was built between the 13th and 14th centuries. The Trail of Pious XI passes in nearby Osteria, commemorating the flight of the Bishop of Spoleto (and future Pope) during the revolutionary uprisings of 1831. It was here that Pious borrowed as ass to make his escape. The church of San Vito is worth a visit.
