I Mandorli is a farmhouse completely run by women, three sisters Maria, Alessandra and Sara Zappelli Cardarelli. It is located on the hills of Trevi, halfway between Foligno and Spoleto. It is so called due to the old and stately trees that stretch their branches up to the windows of the houses, offering a truly impressive show in February and March during their blossoming.
There are four cottages, three guest rooms and three apartments get from the old farm’s buildings.
The extra-virgin olive oil is the main product of the family since centuries. The Old Mill is the evidence of this long legacy. They also produce grains – lentils, chickpeas, beans – cheese, vegetables, fruit and fuits jams.
An ideal starting point for walks on foot or by bike, the farmhouse is also close to other activities’s spots: fishing in the river Clitunno, rafting in the river Corno, horseback riding in the wood. Children can play in the small park and meet the farm’s animals. Just 1 km from the route “The Way of St. Francis.”
